This is the information about my console:
Console Type:Falcon (v1 Aug.2007 / v2 Aug.2008)
NAND size: 16MB
Dashboard version: 2.0.16547.0
CB version: 5774
DVD Drive: Benq
SATA: ?
I guys, I hope that you can help me. This is the situation:
My console have never been tampered with. It's like an un-banned virgin, with latest updates.
But - the DVD drive is now completely dead. So I need to replace it with a new one. But as the drive is dead, I cannot extract the DVD Key from it (it have been tried with no success), and port it to the new one. So I am kind of stuck.
This is what I want to acheve:
I need to get the CPU key out of the console.
I want to install Xell to the NAND to extract the CPU key.
This is what I have done so far:
Made myself a LPT JTAG connector so I can read/write from the Print port.
I have read the NAND sucessfully 3 times and compared them. They are all identical and OK.
I wrote this .bin to the console (falcon_hack_updxell.bin from falcon_opus_hack.rar). It did not work, the console did not start op. Ended up blinking red.
I wrote the NAND to the board again to check, and all worked OK.
My question:
I have heard that it it not possible to write with a JTAG to a console with a CB version with 5770 and beyond. Is that correct?
Is there any possibility to write Xell to the NAND with my JTAG at all?
It there another way ot tool that must be used instead?
If you answer, please do not assume that I can read between the lines. Please explain carefully as I am a noob after all!
Best regards
Lemme
