So I have a Falcon v1 mobo here on dash 16747 and CB 5774, It seems to have some sort of issue with hard drives. On stock, the system will not recognize a HDD at all, I can connect one and unplug it while it's on the dashboard and it does nothing to the console, no reboot like it should, no freezing, and no affect at all, it's like the hard drive isn't there. I checked the port and also checked all over the board for missing components or any sort of damage and didn't find anything out of the ordinary. So I rigged it up for RGH2 and did all the good stuff up to where I wrote the ecc and went to boot xell. Xell boots, (10 seconds BTW :tongue:) but I noticed that it stops at *HDD initialization and won't go any further. So clearly we have an on-board HDD communication issue going on. I'm willing to bet i'm gonna need a new SB, but I thought i'd ask here first, what do you guys think?
