I've had this problem sporadically over the past couple months and I was never able to identify it. Here is a screenshot of what happens:

The write command starts but then freezes. After 30 or so seconds, it will say that the device has malfunctioned. If I take the 360 Pro to any other computer using Win 7 or XP (the ones I have tried), it will work 100% fine and I can do all the normal operations. Currently, it's freezing with a DG-16D2S, but it has happened with a DG-16D4S as well as a BenQ drive; all on the write command. I did try and install Win 7 as a secondary partition on my HDD but apparently all the downloads I tried are corrupt, so I'm currently waiting for a friend to bring his computer over but would like to solve this now. I have reinstalled drivers, disabled/re enabled 3.5/4.5, and installed VS 2012.
