Ps3 shuts off

I have a ps3 that keeps shutting down after like 15 minutes of gameplay. When it shuts off the standby light isn't even red and you have to unplug it to plug it back in to get the standby light. I see a lot of people have this problem but I have yet to see a solution. Definitely sounds like a power issue to me. Any insight into this matter would be great.
By the way this is a gamestop refurbished unit I happened to come across Model CECH-2001A

Edit well tomorrow i will open my psu and see if I have the adjustable overcurrent protection screw and try to adjust that.
