Ok second post today.
I have a phat falcon that I am trying to RGH2 using a coolrunner rev c.
I have purchased the qsbs nandx v3 and soldered these to the motherboard. Using a jr programmer v2 I have successfully compared 4 nands and they are the same.
Test 1. I plug the xbox in it boots and the dashboard appears as expected (qsbs attached to motherboard).
Using jrunner I can see:
2BL[CB_A]: 5774 which apparently means I need to RGH2
6BL[CF] Patch 0: 16537
I load nanddump01 as the source, select 16537 as the dash, select RGH2 and click create ecc, then write ecc. The write is successful with 0 errors.
Test 2. I turn on the xbox and the green light on the front flashes continuously, the screen is blank and the TV reports no signal. (qsbs attached to motherboard)
I install the cool runner, remove the resistor from jp and leave the connections unbridged. I remove the resistor for points 1 and 2 and then bridge them. I have not yet tested bridging the cap points. The cool runner is programmed via jrunner under falcon settings.
I wire the coolrunner in accordance with the RGH2 instructions here:

Test 3. I turn on the xbox and again the light flashes green and a blank/black screen shows, with no signal being reported. (qsbs and coolrunner attached to motherboard)
With the coolrunner installed I flash the nand back to stock, read the nand and then compare against offsite backups to confirm they match.
Test 4. I turn the xbox on and three red light indicating a general hardware failure has occurred.(qsbs and coolrunner attached to motherboard)
I have left the console on for approximately 10 minutes in test 3 stage in order to see if this was due to some form of boot time issue as explained in other threads, however the behaviour remains the same, flashing green light and blank screen.
Firstly does the cool runner need to be installed in order to boot xell? or do you simply flash the nand and you should be able to boot xell regardless of whether the coolrunner has been installed yet.
Second, can anyone suggest why xell would not be booting, if the above is true that coolrunner is not required to boot xell, then surely if I can read/flash the nand successfully I should not need to do much more than simply write xell to the nand and boot the console.
I suppose the last thing is whether there is an alternate method to retrieve the cpu key.
Many thanks
