RGH Phat Demon chip installed on Trinity wont boot

$
0
0

Symptoms:
Xbox doesn'tboot Demon or Retail nand. When I power on the Xbox the fan/lights don't come on, I only get the start up sound. If I remove WP, WE, ALE CLE, CE & RE I can boot Xbox nand. (Retail or RGH2) The Xbox nand boots whether the Demon tactile button is switched to Demon or Xbox when WP, WE, ALE CLE, CE & RE are removed. I’ve tried two different phat Demon chips on the same Xbox and I get the same results. I’m using a phat Demonchip because I can’t find anyone that is selling the Slim version.

Install: Before I touched the Demon chip, I installed a Coolrunner Rev C and made sure it was glitching without any problems. So far, no problems. I read the nand twice with Nand-X, wrote ecc & got the cpu key. Xell booted within 3 glitches. I flashed Xbox back to the retail nand and installed the Demon chip. Upgraded the Demon chip to the latest firmware then I flashed it with updflash. Flashed the coolrunner with trinity_en.xsvf I also read the Xbox nand with no problems using the Demon chip. I have no problems reading/writing to the Xbox or to the Demon chip but the Xbox will not bootunless I remove WP, WE, ALE CLE, CE & RE.

Troubleshooting: I took out my multimeter to make sure I didn't accidently bridge any of the wires. I didn't have 30g wire so I just used the wires that come with the coolrunners. I used the same wires on my last Corona phat Demon install and it worked fine. Checked D0 - D7 with multimeter to make sure none of the wires were touching. Checked WP, WE, ALE CLE, CE & RE to make sure none of those wires were touching. Next I checked for continuity between Demon chip and Nand pins on the other side of the board. Touched probeto D0 on Demon and other other probe to the corresponding Nand pin. Did thisf or every point on the Demon chip, everything is connected correctly.

Anyone with experience installing Demon chips have any idea what I'm doing wrong? I've already searched the forums and have read through the tutorials butI haven't seen anyone else with the same problem.

As the title suggests im trying to install a Coolrunner REV C on a corona V1. What point do you solder the sdby clk on the motherboard? The corona motherboard doesnt have the same point as the trinity so any help would be appreciated as well as the cpu rst point too as its different for a corona. Please point me in the right direction. I have searched images and cant find the right one.

Frank.

[UK] Console Wizards Reballed my console... (Pics Included)

$

So my xbox 360 got the red dot.
I sent it off for a Reball at console wizards.

The reball part went as planned But my console didnt come back to healthy.

I sent away my console with HDMI working with any lead & My case was not cracked!

I get it returned, yeah the red dot has gone.
But they over tightened the screws, causing the case to be too tight and then in one corner it cracks and they leave the screw out...
They also cross threaded the screw hole at the back for the hard drive holder.

When I got the console back the HDMI didnt work at first. Then I tried the HDMI cable that came with the XBONE and seems to grip it better. What has happened there I do not know, I assume from there tightening screws to tight and their specialty in cross threading that they were to rough with the hdmi port. Therefore I have to use a hdmi cable which is a squeeze to fit in, if you know what i mean.

My advice to anybody who decides to use their services; Just send your motherboard in and leave your case at home.

Nand Dump - Bad blocks in first 50

I still don't have a JR programmer but I was able to get the lpt to work but as soon as I start reading the issue pops up
1. My flash config is 0x000000FE which I know is something really off
2. I get 4 "error: 340 reading block 0, 1, 2, 3" and those are the only 4 so far, I'm about halfway done with the 1st dump (at block 165)
Soldering issue, board issue, something????
I'll post a pic once this is done, just want to see what the issue is or if it's an on board issue that'll require remapping

This is a xenon btw, dash 7357

Edit: this will be the last console I'll be using ltp, however the issue was fixed both flash config and first 50 block issue

R-JTAG CR4 XL Falcon Not Booting

Was the console working before you started: Yes
Do you get a green debug light appear on the CR4 XL chip every 4-5 seconds: No

Hey guys, I'm new to the JTAG/RGH world and I need some help. I followed Noobert's Guide to installing the CR4XL R-JTAG, made some pretty stupid/careless mistakes and I'm having issues.

I dumped the NAND, created and wrote the xell-reloaded with no issues. When I went to install the CR4 XL I had an issue. When soldering the white wire (pin A on CR4XL) onto the motherboard, I accidentally removed R7R17 from the PCB and it was instantly lost. Luckily, I found a schematic and was able to replace the 10k resistor. I did continuity and resistance checks and the circuit doesn't seem to be damaged.

When I went to first boot, I made the stupid mistake of plugging the DVD drive's power cable in backwards. It smelled like something was cooked and I was getting a 3 led red ring. After a quick google search, I found that others had done the same and replaced a 0ohm resistor in the drive, so I did that. Now, it starts without any red LEDs and the drive does it's initialization movements. Nothing else happens after this point. I tried POST monitoring through J-Runner and it doesn't budge past "Post 01".

I read somewhere to disconnect the 5V from the CR4, and flash the original nand dump back to the console to see if it still works, however when I did that I get a ROL with error code 0020/E08: Unconfirmed: General I/O Malfunction, could be caused by an error with any of the I/O devies such as A/V port, USB, Hard drive, DVD drive, etc. over torquing of the AV or heatsync bolts can cause this error.

I went back to the Xell-reloaded nand and I'm ROL error free, but still no booting. I've tried HDMI and standard A/V.

Any clue where I went wrong? Or if I am doing something wrong?

I will post pictures of my soldering and wiring tomorrow, I was hoping for some quick insight before calling it a night.

GENERAL Question for TX staff

Hi all, I'm hoping that a member of TX staff will be able to help me with a problem with one of your resellers.

I won't name them at the moment, but I placed an order with them in January which they claim got lost in the post, 3 months later they still have not sent replacement items or given me a refund. Since they are one of your listed reselllers I'm hoping that you can put pressure on them to resolve this issue quickly. I can't initiate a chargeback because I stupidly paid by bank transfer.

What do I need to start making my own cheats on 360?

$

0
I'm planning to get a modded console soon, probably a 360S with an RGH mod, but we'll see. My primary concern is to do simple real time searching and memory editing offline, and potentially some assembly hacks if there is a decent debugger available. I have an extensive library of retail games. I started out with Gameshark Pro back in the day, and I know enough MIPS to write my own assembler/disassembler in ANSI-C, so I can pickup PowerPC pretty easy. I'm not necessarily interested in writing trainers, just the bare minimum for cheating. I'm also curious if anyone has written a universal cheating app like gameshark/codebreaker/AR. It would be much preferred to constantly looking for trainers and/or writing trainers for individual titles. I don't get people's obsession with releasing individual trainers that get lost over the years when simply posting offsets to plug into a universal app is so much easier.. Though I'm not sure how the memory on 360 is handled. I know there was a lot of dynamic stuff in the N64/PS2 era to the point even some of the executable code was loaded at random locations. Anyway, what all do I need to put on a modded box to accomplish this kind of stuff?

Drive problems Samsung ts-h943 m28

Ok so I'm having a few issues with my Xbox 360. I received the Xbox from a friend which had a rodd, I fixed the box. Is had a modded drive in the system and after fixing the rodd I put in a game backup and verified that it was working. But the Xbox hasn't been powered on for a long time so it of course needed updates system and live. I had no problems with the system updates but when it came to the live ones I would get an error 66. So what I did was I had a few drives laying around from when I had a modded and non modded box. I took the drive from the box that was not modded threw it into the Xbox and did the live update which it worked so I shut it down and reinstalled the original drive that came with the system a modded one and now it just plays all games backups or not as a dvd. I know that the drives have keys set in them but you would think that once the originaldrive was installed it would work. So now I'm stuck without a working drive. The drive that came with it was a Samsung ts-h943 m28 and the drive I used to get past the live updates was a hitachi-lg gdr-3120l. I also have a Ben q x800474-006 drive that is flashed that's the drive that I had in my Xbox that I had years ago that I no longer have. So my question is can I get this drive working again or is it better to use one of the other drives and spoof the Xbox. Or have I really screwed my self and have to drop the nand and get the key. Thanks sorry for the long post.

Bad Flash Method after Corona v2 to v1 Conversion?

Jrunner log5.txtI wrote my 16 mb retail nand to the new chip before I installed it to my mobo, just like recommended in the tutorial: http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showt...-or-for-repair).
Then I followed the tutorial. Once I completed installation of the new components, I read the newly installed nand twice. I got two matching nands and my cpu key automatically popped up in J Runner. I then turned on the console and it booted perfectly fine.

The problem started when I tried to write a hacked nand. Ever since I tried this, the Xbox beeps but won't turn on; no lights turn on even for a second. Now, when I try reading the nand back, I get "header is wrong" and J Runner crashes after the second read when the nand compare starts.

Antalpromille mentioned in the tutorial that if there was trouble writing to the new nand, some bad flash recovery method may be necessary. Now, I've already erased the nand with J Runner via Advanced>Custom NAND/CR Functions and used Demon/fusion write. This didn't make any difference. So my question is whether there is something else in J Runner, or any other program, that I could try. I've looked all over for a guide but I couldn't find anything that applies to my situation.
