R-JTAG Xbox RJTAG Noob here. Need guidence on CR4 XL install and the means for diff mods.
I have questions on the CR4 XL.
So I been an IT tech for about 4 years, serious microsoldering and etc. on motherboard for phones and computers.
Interested in the definitions of JTAG and other main Xbox Mods.
My main goal is to turn a PHAT Xbox 360 Jasper Unit into a modded machine so I can install games and play them without the disc inserted, and be able to use any type of hard drive.
I was e-mailed by support that the CR4 XL would make that possible.
Can ANYONE give any direction in how to approach this goal: such as what software do I install, what steps do I take into putting the unit in, etc. etc. etc.

The problem is that I can not upload anything to him. When you try to upload Xella message pops permission denied . Both in one and the second console. I tried different card readers and the same thing. Is it somehow locked before recording ? I do this by using autogg . Consoles are from the period 06.2013 and 08.2013 . What is the problem ?

R-JTAG CR4 XL with R-JTAG QSB V3 / Questionable solder point ?
Hello,
I am relatively new to RGH-ing and JTAG-ing but think I have done enough research (thanks to the TX team) to make this work but I have a few questions.
Here is what I am working with. I have a Zephyr motherboard and want to RGH it using the following components sold to me by Mod chips central.
I have the CR4 XL, J-R Programmer, R-JTAG QSB V3. For the record this is not my first attempt at this. In the past I installed the ultimate kit and that was pretty straight forward but this new CR4 and R-JTAG QSB V3 combo has me a bit confused.
Here is where my questions lie.
Question 1: First thing I did was to solder the R-JTAG QSB V3, however in all the tutorials I have read there is no picture of the V3 or mention of how many solder points are to be used exactly in the installation on this QSB on the Zephyr. All the tutorials I have found show the V2 and ultimate kits that used to be offered and they are a different installation all together. There are a few no brainer solder points but there is one point that has me scratching my head.
**I have been having some difficulty uploading photos so please excuse me, I know pictures speak louder than words but my hands are tied. I will do my best to be as descriptive as possible with my words**
On the extreme right of the V3 there are 4 no brainer solder points, on the extreme left of the V3 there is the Q2N1 (green wire bridge to transistor/amplifier), but slightly to the right of the Q2N1 stamping on the QSB (towards the bottom of the QSB strip in between what looks to be 2 resistors) there is a silver primed slot that would indicate there should be a solder point on the mainboard to match.
Well guess what ?.......
There is no matching solder point on the Zephyr main board for this connection. Have I missed something with the V3 ? Is this an optional solder joint for another board model ? or maybe a wire bridge solder point ?
Any information from anyone who has installed this R-JTAG QSB V3 on a Zephyr would be greatly appreciated. My gut is telling me that if there is no matching junction on the mainboard that it is not to be used however I don't want to miss a bridge wire if that's what it is for.
Question 2: With the CR4 install on a Zephyr, is the grey wire used ? If yes where does it need to be soldered to ? Previous versions made this an easy connection but the forums make no mention of it. There are a bunch of videos on line showing the install of the CR4 but none using the latest and greatest on a Zephyr. All the videos show are previous versions V2 etc... on every other board made and on the previous model QSB's it was clear to understand.
Question 3: Still on the CR4 on a Zephyr install, where is the solder joint for the red wire, again like the grey wire previous model QSB's had clear identifiers on them but with my install I'm left wondering.
Any help from the community would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to those who have read and those that will reply :)
Oh I forgot to mention the dashboard version to satisfy those that might be wondering,... it's 2.0.17150.0

hi have a full guide for rgh 2.0 with cr rev c but they all sold out so i have to use cr4 im confused about the part where you connect the cables from the jr programmer to the cr4... is the setup different form cr rev c i have a jasper and need a cr4 jasper install guide for rgh 2.0 thanks in advance!!!!!!

hi im new to posting on forums sorry if i posted in the wrong section. i have a coolrunner rev c and i bought a ****** spi nand flasher V1.0 is ther any way to make those two work together to rgh a xbox 360 e 4gb? or is a nand x required cause as far as im aware those have been sold out for 2 years. thanks in advance

Solid green light
Hi everyone I need sum assistant, I have a solid green light on my cr4 and the power button is constantly flashing what is the cause. I have been working on this for the last cpl off days and now this is holding me up from continuing too be move closer to moddin. Fukn frustrating is an understatement

Trinity slim won't power up
Hi people I just soldered in the cr4 and wanted to do a test run before I dump the NAND and the console just beeps and won't turn on no lights no nothing, except the red light on the cr4 is going. Is there only 1 way the cr4 can be wired onto the trinity seriously how hard can it be to wire in a little chip and why does it have to be wired to these little points that lift so easy..

Description of problem: wasnt sure where to put this i cant seem to find anyone to help me. last week i turned off my xbox and waited a min and tried to turn it on and it wouldnt boot up i cant even get into xell. Today i got a new jr programmer and i reflashed the nand and didnt fix the problem. but then i turned it on and it just does the same thing just sit there and trys to boot but doesnt. I just got this xbox 2 weeks ago after i sent it in to get rgh 2 and it wont boot. I sent this in to someone to be rgh'd this is not my work. And yes i know its a clone (Rev C) so what. RGH Trinity/Slim won't boot??
Been having a problem i've tried to fix... (chip is the coolrunner rev c)
Read nand fine, created ecc, wrote ecc, got cpu key, created xebuild image and wrote nand. Everything went smoothly. After about 30 minutes i came back to the console to turn it on and it wouldn't boot. I changed out the cpu_rst wire with a yellow wire from the phat kit, but while doing that I ripped out the cpu_rst pad and some trace. After that I fixed it and it booted up fine. I was just looking around on dash for a while and got off. I booted up the console several other times to make sure it was working. I put it back in its case and of course it decided to not boot. I opened up the console again and all the wires were intact so I decided to solder all of them again. Nothing.
I've waited 30+ mins, tried different wires, tried booting the console hundreds of times, and also tried different coolrunner bridges etc.. and none of these have worked. Whenever I turn on the console, the green led on the CR just blinks forever... never stops.
Would appreciate some feedback. Will make sure to post pics tomorrow.

JASPER CR4 XL PHAT Jasper. Are these the correct parts and what's the solder points?
I just got in 4 parts: the 1. CR4 XL, 2. JRP/NANDX/CR QSB v3 - TRINITY, 3. JR JRP 2 JTAG-XSVF, and the 4. CR4 R-JTAG QSB v3.
I just looked at the instructions, and the QSB and NANDX Trinity look nothing alike, like in the instruction page:

so i have a cr4 and demon fitted and a 2tb exernal drive on my 4gb slim trinity
my oem internal 250gb drive is full and i am looking to upgrade this ( for my retail nand)
i know the last update provided support for external usb 2tb hdd , but would this work internally ?
i know this is a real nooby question and i feel a little shame even asking but dont wanna splash out the £60 for it not to work
Ive searched the interwebs and nothing about internal 2tb - its all confirming external 2tb support and i cant find anyone who has tried.
anyone tried this yet on a retail nand ?

Jr programmer not Working
Hi guys,
look I have just installed the jr v2 on my trinity board to read and write the nand but for sum reason the jr isn't working. All connections are fine and I have used it on 5 other trinity boards in the last week but for sum unknow reason this one just won't work. Also when I plug the power in to check the jr the fan starts up and goes on and off by its self which is a first and very strange. Urgent help to rectify the problem would be great as I'm keen to get modding.

COOLRUNNER orange light on psu and red on coolrunner but will not turn on
hey everyone, so basically i installed the rgh 1.2 exploit into this falcon i had lying round using a coolrunner rev c witch i also had lying around lol, i read the nand (4 times in total) the bad blocks were remapped, i created then write the ecc all was smooth sailing. flashed a .xsvf file to the coolrunner and soldered the coolrunner to the board, all was well. (this isnt my first time modifying a xbox 360) so i turned it on to get my cpu key from xell, grabbed that, put it into j runner, created the Xebuild image and flashed it to my 360, i unplugged everything for about 30 secs and put the case back on. I then went onto power the console on but nothing. figured it might be something to do with the stby_clk and it was, so i fixed that. Now i plugged it in for the 3rd time and i still get nothing, no light on the rol no noises nothing and the psu block had a red light on, managed to fix the red light by fiddling around, so now what happens is i have a orange light on the psu and red on the cool runner but still, nothing happens. I dont know what is going on so if anyone could shed some light that would be good, thanks.

Jasper 256 Freezing at xbox logo screen

RE-noob Flashed xdg3 back in 2011- Need to Upgrade-Also Problems #Reintro#
I am reintrodusing myself because its been so long. Purchased the usb tool and another part from you guys and used it to mod xbox360 for backups
Years later, were having issues with open/close w/dvd drive during gameplay, sometimes constant, to where its unusable.Bought an XB1.....
I believed around 1 yr ago we deleted my sons profile, or data or something and reinstalled, and it started to work again, but soon went back to the disc drive issue and more.
I have a 7200rpm spin drive in this XDG3 360(a recommended wd one i believe) and i would like to replace.
I am huge on ssd's so much so that i have many extras, and REALLY want to install an SSD to Internal of this Xbox360,as well as fix the disc drive issue.
Last i heard you couldn't use internal ssd. But i don't know.
Couldn't i clone a hdd? To ssd?
What can i do to get ssd instead?
Is it limited to sata2 for internal?
Do you think a reformat or new drive will solve the drive open/close issue?
P.s. we also would love to put ssd in the new XB1,but its not as pressing.Any advice here is so appreciated.

Question on Demon install
Hello all im about to order parts to mod a halo 4 edition slim corona v4 I was wondering will just a "demon slim nand chip"/"cr4 xl"/"post fix adapter"/"nand sd reader 4gb" be all thats needed to mod this board for dual nand or is there add'on chips for the demon to work with corona v4?

J-R Programmer Cannot Continue Error..???
Im getting this error in J-Runner saying: Version 10, Flash Config: 0x00000000 Can not continue.
Heres the problem, I've soldered and re-soldered all of my points 2-3 times failing on each attempt to read my nand-x (j-r programmer v2) I also have a multimeter that i used to check each wire (each wire has contuinity) before hitting the read nand button in j-runner. I also had pictures if they are requested. Any advice will help, I have been working on this for a while.
