I'm really hoping to get some help with this, I've done a bunch of RGH consoles and I do believe I have the soldering skills to do this.

Actual issue is here, and story below.

The corner of the pcb is cracked, and a 220 16v Capacitor is seperated from the rest of the console, 2 traces were broken in the process and one pad of the capacitor split in half. The pad was easily re soldered. I have determined that the left side capacitor (closest to the power and sata plugs) is connected to a ground, and the right side is connected to a 12v source, and determined this by using a multi meter on a working PCB from the new drive I purchased. But for the life of me I cannot find out where the 12v trace goes to on the motherboard, and after scraping it a few times I can't seem to find somewhere to solder to or get a reading from with the my multi meter. I've attached a few images and if someone could come up with an idea to save this pcb that would be greatly appreciated. I'm about 3 hours into this so far plus time to buy parts and research and I'm just stuck. Also when I soldered 12v to SPD shown in the 2nd last image, I got a slight bit of movement out of the spindle motor. Below is the story



A customer brought me back a console that I had sold them a while ago, and the drive was no long ejecting discs. I sold them the console 5 or 6 months ago and because it suddenly stopped working we agreed that it was a defect with the console, and when I asked what happened they said it just stopped working. The young son that handed me the Xbox, which he had already taken apart for me, just the slim console in the metal cage, and the drive with only the bottom metal half attached. Again they had said it just stopped working.

I assumed that the spindle motor had died, and went ahead and ordered a new drive from ebay for about 60 dollars Canadian and agreeing that we would each pay half.

After connecting the old pcb to the new drive, same issue with the spindle motor not spinning, but the laser lighting up for a second or two. I then put the new pcb into the new drive, and the new pcb into the old drive, and both of them functioned as expected, spinning up the game presenting me with a play dvd screen because the drive key was not matched. I don't think they will want to pay for a LTU2 pcb and the cost to temporarily rgh the console, so I'd like to fix the original pcb.

I have tried the cr4 in two trinity consoles now and both couldn't even boot into xell. I am wondering if my chip is bad. How often do people come across bad cr4 chips? I have tried just about every combination of dip switches and post big jumpers as well. I haven't put any caps on because they say thats only used to fine tune boot times.

So my first install... Cr3 pro fake post in a corona v3 with only the chip... followed a guide on dremling away a piece by the cpu to see the 4th solder ball , used a wire and tacked it to the ball , next wire install of the demon was a fun mess but was flawless , tx products are great! just next time i might use a post fix adapter lol

I have Xbox 360 with Falcon board. I was playing GTA V and in the middle of the game i saw artifacts, black lines, but screen didn't freeze. I restarted console and returned playing. After 5 minutes they appeared again! I took off the HDD and when console restarted I got E74!!! My heart was beating. It would turn on somtimes, but with artifacts and black lines. I dissasembled the console and pushed the GPU heatsink, E74 again, so its not the GPU. When i've pushed HANA chip it worked! I've started a game (without pushing the HANA, black lines were back. When I push HANA, everything has gone! Is this a bad/damaged HANA, or just cracked solderjoint? Console isn't X-clamp fixed and it didnt have RRoD before.

hi, you may know me from my last serval posts, but i have made an official decision. i would like to do a R-Jtag on my Jasper 16 mb. but the only problem is that i do not have any QSB's, so i have to do a wire install. but there is another problem... i dont have 2 diodes that i would need to do it with. is there anything else i can use?

I had(or i still have, depends on you guys <3 ) an Xbox 360, which i would like to flash. After some days of reading i realized that i need an Xecuter Demon and a Coolruner for my case(As the title says, the mobo is trinity and the dash is 16767). So i was going for RGH2.

So...PCBs came and i connected them to the mobo. Here i want to say that i soon will graduate with a master's degree in Computer and Information Engineering, so i know plenty staff around electronics(i am saying that to get clear of the fact that the soldering might not be right at some points! In fact i checked every connection with a multi-meter for any unwanted short circuits and everything is completely ok on both Demon and Coolruner!)

So after the installation of PCBs i downloaded the JRunner v0.3, created a 16767 folder, installed the Demon drivers, let the JRunner do its magic downloading stuff, and then i plugged the power into the xbox and connected the demon with the PC through the USB cable. The identification of the Demon from the system AND from JRunner was a very nice and pleasant sight for the eyes. Then i proceeded into reading the NAND(2 times), and the read of it was successful and also the comparison brought out zero differences.
I also created the ECC, and also wrote it with success (as the log said).

And now here is where the problems started.
First of all i had trouble booting the console. Beep sound was there but the hole system was dead. CR3's lights though were both up (red and green), and after some search i saw that XBOX is preventing boot when it sense that something with the power circuits is not right. So i changed the pin of CR3 from NOR to PRG and then vouala, the XBOX booted..BUT...no signal..tried both HDMI and A/V ports but all i get is nothing! I tried various staff i found around the web but my hopes after 9 hours of trying to solve this issue are gone! Last hopes are that i prolly have to play with the pins in both CR3lite and Demon, but i found zero reference about their positions in different parts of the installation of them. Just found the basic places that you have to use in order to do the soldering with safety)
Rest is up to you! I really hope to find some support from you guys cause i saw that your products have excellent reviews (and response from the main system) and those 80 bucks i gave away for the Demon and the CR3lite were not a pleasent loss for a student at his graduation like me!

So..i am open to any idea! Thanks in advance!

P.S. When i am trying to Programm the CoolRunner through the JRunner all i get is TDO mismatch, no matter which settings i use!)

i want to convert a 160gb WD into a 120gb for use in my 360 but HDD hacker is coming up: Security disable password failed. I've searched the forums and seen posts about creating a boot cd to use a laptop/desktop to unlock but i haven't got one available. I use an all in one PC that's still under warranty so I can't remove the back cover.

any advice/prod in the right direction would be great.

Okay so i got this system and when i got it for free it had rrod and i reballed both chips and works great now. However it doesnt have a dvd drive. I got some extra ones for the same model for systems that i bought and sold the motherboard in them. Now its on 16202 and i need to get the dvd key off of it. I have searched and found some info but not a lot on this motherboard. I have heard some say yes you can rgh to get the key and others say no you cant. I already got the dump of the nands and that all looks good. Any ideas let me know. thanks

So my friend gave me his rrod xbox with e74 error 1022. I reballed the gpu and now it works. I booted it up hoping it was rgh 1 able and it is. It has dash 13599 so I can rgh 1 it. What chip should I use with it that will actually glitch it??

Good afternoon!

I just started with the XBOX 360 modding and run into a road block.

1) Corona V3 Slim Xbox 360
2) Latest Dash
3) Corona Postfix adapter v2 installed.


I disconnected the power for the CR4 XL until I can get the JR Programmer v2 to work. I assume this is okay and won't cause issues. I did a direct wire install and connected the 7 wires back to the JR Programmer v2. My PC (windows 7, and windows 10) is able to detect the programmer. I was able to reflash the programmer in bootloader mode and it flashed and completed sucessfully. I took it out of bootloader mode and it installed a driver. I shows up under devices, but does not show an actual driver. (see screenshot). I click on read Nand and it power on, and nothing happens. Am I missing a step or need to do something different? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, im noob so sorry if i ask stupid question.

Here we go:

I have falcon with dash 16547 and cb 5774. My gears are CR ver.C, J-R Programmer v2, Windows 10. Was trying do rgh 1.2 on it according the youtube video called full rgh1.2. Everything goes well, nand read 2x, no badblocks, Create ECC with no error and so write ecc. Then program my CR, solder it to MB on alternative points:

STBY_CLK on FT2R2
POST_OUT1 on FT6U1
everything according the video
rest solder deafult

timing file was on the CR so now i only wait for boot in Xell. And it doesnt boot. I hear that CR try to reset cpu by the noise from the fans. All timing file i try and nothing changed. So i tryed re read nand, i dont know why, JR read it and show me that i have trinity MB and told me that something is wrong with retail nand becouse it doesnt match, so i click cancel, and from now on i get :

Watching all videos on youtube i saw that my LED on CR ( the green one ) flash constantly, and every 5-6 sec it goes, cpu reset and so on. According all video led flash only when CR reset cpu ( or im wrong? ) So im re solder all points except PLL BYPASS, becouse it is hard to solder,and CR green LED flash every 5-6 sec but still cant get xell.

Hello guys, i have a Xbox 360 with a Toshiba Samsung Drive TS-H943A. The problem is when i Flash the LT+ v2.01 to the drive the JF log looks good but when i connect the drive to my Xbox 360 and make it on then the drive is making some grinding noise like its spinning and scratching but no disk is inside. When i put original disk in then the Xbox Logo shows like a DVD. Any idea ?

When i FLash it with orig. FW the drive works great with orig. disks. Only on Flash it doesnt work.

Good Morning!

I have an issue trying to boot in XELL and need some suggestions:


1) Corona v3
2) Postfix adapter installed, CR4 XL
3) JR Programmer v2 wire install


I read NAND, I think I got a good dump, was able to create ECC, then write ECC. Machine powers up with power and eject button, but I do not get any video output and the fan spins up quicky. The CR4 XL has red light, and blinks slow green.

This is the first time I have tried updating my corona rgh. I did all steps correct in XeBuild. It was all success. When I go to download the dashfiles I keep getting this error and its starting to piss me off: "ERROR: The checksums don't match, try downloading again or edit the xml's!"

How tf am I supposed to fix this?
