Emunand Partition

Hey all,

Just looking for some clarification on how the emunand partition works. I have set up my console using the hidden partition method. When installing an .nsp (update/dlc/whatever) and select internal memory as the target destination, the data is saved on the SD card still, correct?

BATTERY DRAINING ISSUE on SX OS 2.0.1 Pro

I'm running SX OS v2.0.1 Pro EMUNAND on Switch with CFW 6.1.0. Unit is on AutoRCM mode per SX OS boot menu. I'm having battery drain issues and can't seem to figure out the correct steps to shut down without having battery drain so fast. Here's what I'm currently doing to shut down:

1. ON SWITCH HOME MENU, PRESS POWER BUTTON UNTIL I GET "POWER OPTIONS".
2. PRESS "POWER OPTIONS" AND "TURN OFF"
3. BOOT UP AGAIN USING SX OS DONGLE AND GO INTO SX OS BOOT SCREEN.
4. GO TO OPTIONS AND PRESS "POWEROFF". (Note: While I do these steps in SX OS BOOT SCREEN, I leave the dongle plugged in)

I've noticed that sometimes the battery will not drain and I can go days with minimal battery drain issues. But sometimes, for some reason the battery starts draining t0o fast. AM I MISSING SOMETHING IN THE SHUTDOWN PROCESS.:confused::confused:

Game card slot not working in 3.0.1 sysNAND after updating emuNAND to 6.1.0

I tried to set up my Switch such that it could run a lower firmware in sysNAND and a higher one in emuNAND, but I seem to have somehow made it impossible to use the cartridge slot in OFW running in sysNAND. Although I can boot into OFW without any problem, the moment any cartridge is inserted into the slot, the system throws this error code “2002-2634” and requires a reboot.

Here’s my setup:

With the console offline (and remaining so since) I was running OFC 3.0.1 and used an SX Pro jig and dongle (with SX OS 2.5) to setup an emuNAND based on that firmware. I entered the emuNAND and used the latest ChoidujourNX to successfully update the emuNAND to 6.1.0. No problems so far; OFW is still 3.0.1, just as I left it, and CFW is reporting 6.1.0. Also, autoRCM is *not* enabled.

I can now use the cartridge slot in the 6.1.0 CFW without a problem to dump games and such, but when I boot back into the 3.0.1 OFW the cartridge slot becomes unusable, throwing that 2002-2634 error code and forcing a reboot whenever a game is inserted.

Some research has shown that the card reader has its *own* firmware which will be updated when upgrading past 4.0, which is what I did with ChoidujourNX. There is apparently an option for avoiding this, of which I was unaware.

Is there any way to either reverse this, or otherwise get the card slot working again? If all else fails, would using ChoidujourNX to update the sysNAND to 6.0.1 (or anything between 6.0.1 and 4.0, apparently) fix the issue?

I haven’t done anything yet, since I don’t want to lose any options in case someone has a solution, and I *can* still use the slot and backups successfully in the 6.0.1 emuNAND. If I can’t fix the slot sysNAND *and* lose the working emuNAND, then I’ll really be hosed.

Infinite thanks to anyone who can help me with this. Cheers.

SX OS 2.5 not running CFW??

Hello everyone....I hope someone can help out here...

I ready many similar (or exact) same issues but so far they have not solved my issue.

I have a new switch that should work.... I have a SX PRO dongle, and when I get to the SX OS menu and choose run CFW it hangs on a black screen forever.

Here is what I have done so far:

On the SX OS first menu I have backed up my nand, created the emunand, enabled/disabled autorcm, etc. all that works perfectly. I can even boot to OFW and its fine.
I have installed Atmostphere trying to get things working, and that boots perfectly! I then used choiDujourNX to update the original OFW from 4.1 to 6.2. That worked fine and its now at 6.2 and boots fine. I formatted the SD card again with the Switch (exfat) and copied all the files to it. boot.dat and the license.dat file is there. If I remove the license.dat file and try to boot to CFW it works and again sets up the license request file. However once I go online and get the file, it will no longer boot.

Any idea what could be the issue? SD card should be fine here. I also had the same issue with FAT32 on 4.1 and eventually updated OFW to 6.2 and formatted the sdcard to exfat but nothing works.

Trim/partition SD Emunand?

Hi there,

I'm now using SX OS for few weeks and find it fantastic, took me a while to read and understand everything about it to make sure not to make a mistake.
As I got my switch end of November, I got a clean dump of my NAND and used the hack only on SD emunand, so that nand stays clean of anything that could get me banned. The point is to allow me to play online on free games, or purchased game, even though I didn't do it yet.

The slight problem with SD Emunand is that it use a huge space, and as I'm using only XCI most of that space is lost. Please don't say use NSP, as I use XCI so I can just drag in and out games I want or don't want anymore. I even include games updates and DLC to my XCIs using NSC builder.

As you used to partition the NAND to put Emunand on it, I believe it is doable and I guess the code to do such thing on SD card should be basically the same ?

Thanks :)

First time user, have a few questions!

Ordered my Xecuter SX Pro kit and license, going to take a few days for it to arrive, so have some time to figure out how i want to do things.

Is using 1 console for legit online games (ei; buying legit copies of Smash Bro's/Splatoon 2/Diablo etc) and a 2nd console for the Xecutor SX OS with all the cracked offline games, 100% safe? I don't mind purchasing a second console if it means that my legit online games and console are absolutely protected from a ban.

I've not even unpacked my switch (have confirmed its hack-able), is there a way to share save games between 2 systems and have the "legit" system be 100% safe? Or will save game files from a hacked system flag the legit system for a ban?

Thanks!

New SX Pro - Switch doesnt turn on

Hi,

I have just received the SX pro. When I put the dongle in and power up with + and power, the switch doesnt turn on. It powers up normally without it.

We tried it on my friends switch and the same thing happens. He has the SX pro as well and his works fine. The light on mine doesnt come on when inserted into the switch, but does when plugged into the usb port of the PC.

Any ideas?

Cheers

question on NSP DLC - install to NAND or to SD Card?

What is better or more recommended - should I install a set of NSP DLC files to the system or to the SD card - any pro's or cons either way?

I assume that any NSP DLC install would trigger a ban as soon as the system realises I didnt purchase the DLC on my account? I am not banned currently.

Thanks

SX pro question

I have 2 switch's. A launch model as well as a brand new most likely unhackable model. As it came with os 5.1.0 on it out of the box. So I am going to order the SX pro.

Is it safe to test the sx pro on my console I think is not hackable? I do not want the dongle to be tied to the console if it will not work.

Lastly my launch model is on current firmware and my new one is on the 5.1.0 firmware. If my 5.1.0 turns out to be patched is there anyway to move a user to it without upgrading the firmware? I tested today to see if I could move a user but it wants to update firmware so I guess It is best I wait.

I only care about launching backups of my original carts so is there any present reason why I should not just update the new one to the latest firmware now? I read about fuses and so forth but this seems to be more for tinkers and modders then an end user.

Noob with two basic questions

Hi to all. I have been reading through these forums and now realize just how little I know. So I am hoping that someone can answer a couple of basic questions for me.

1) I am running ofw 6.1 and cfw 2.0.1. My sd card is formatted as exfat. Everything seems to work fine. I have no interest in online gaming and have not even set up a wifi connection on my Switch. Is there any reason for me to update to the latest cfw? Is it ok to stay on ofw 6.1?

2) My second question concerns emunand. Given the above, should I set it up?

Thanks for your patience and any info that you can provide.

P.S. I apologize if there are existing threads on this subject that I have somehow missed.

Blue Screen

Yesterday 27/12/2018, i was playing smash bros, and then try to swap to another game. And an error appears. Need to rebbot your Switch, old POWER for 12 seconds.
But my switch didnt turn on again. Nothing appears inmy screen, just black, imposible to enter into Xecture menu. Finally i could enter into the xecuter menu injecting the payload (i have the pro version) but when i try to start with/without the custom firmware, blue screen.
Now i get blue screen if i try turn on or connect my C-usb. Is my switch dead?

I have the pro version of the SX, with version 6.0.1 installed.

Problems running CFW

Hi there,

i'am new to SX OS and tried it for the first time Today.
I have a very old switch, bought on the first day of Release of Switch (XAJ400006...), running OFW 6.2.0
I created an SD Card formatted with FAT32, put boot.dat and hbmenu.nro on it.
I can get into Bootmenu, i can boot OFW from there, but if i say boot CFW, i get the Licence reminder, and after that it boots OFW.

Any Ideas?

Question about moving legit games from sd card to system memory (without going online

$

I'm wondering the best way to get games that I purchased from the nintendo online store from my sd card back on to my system memory. I've been happily enjoying SX pro for the past few weeks and so I know my system logs will possibly get me banned if I do it the traditional way (archiving, then downloading from store).
I did create a clean Nand before getting into SX pro but I'm hoping I don't have to refresh my Switch to do this.
Are there any tools available to move already installed NSP's?
