Hello,
I have two xboxes both phat, one has benq drive flashed with 3.0 works perfectly. 2nd xbox is phat elite with hitachi 79 drive. I flashed it last night with lt 3.0 via jungle flasher. Everything flashing wise went fine I followed the tutorial to the T no errors. All the games have been backed up through and ran through abgx and burned through img burn using the recommended settings. (low burn speed 2.4). All these games run flawlessly on the benq but I seem to be getting an intermittent "disc not recognized" error on the Hitachi.
I tested 20 games I have all of which read on the benq, 7 out of 20 pulled up on the hitachi fine the rest gave the error. Even some of the ones that did work when I put them in again they would give the error and next time would read? I'm wondering if this could be a symptom of a dying laser in the hitachi. The manufacture date on the xbox is 6-07. It's worth noting that all games are burned on high quality verbatim's as well. I did test retail copies as well those have no issues.
If it is a dying laser would a pot tweak I've researched be worth it at this point or is a new laser the way to go?
Thank You for any and all assistance,
Mike
