You should just set up the QSB as the original guide except for the switch.
I hope this helped!

Hi, so I'm going to rgh my 360E/corona v5 and need help making sure I get all the correct stuff.

First, I have rghed my trinity slim so I have the JR programmer v2.

I'm Australian so I'll be buying from ozmodchips, so I'll be getting:

CR4 XL by Team Executer (would this come with the wires?)

Xecuter CR4 XL Slim QSB v3 Kit

Xecuter Corona PostFix Adaptor v2

Is that all I need or am I missing something? thanks in advance :-)

Also, for those that have used the new CR4 XL on a corona v5, what's your experience, is it always instant boot? :-)

Hey folks,

Just a quick question what is the best alternate point for the cpu_rst (C5R11)
I don't want to remove the x-clamp because i don't have the tools for it yet.
I have read that there are some points but some people where talking about bad boot times and stuff or is that bs?

Thanks for the reply's already ;) :cool2:

R-JTAG Successful Repair/R-Jtag on Falcon + Possible fix for high fan speed/Fatal Crash Int

Picked up a few broken phat Xb360's from the flea market 2 weeks ago, I saw some nand wires while inspecting one of them and opened it up when I got home. It had a Rjtag V1.0 and all required QSBs on Db 16203, noticed they hacked R4B24 to bits (I assume they had a Coolrunner in it at some point). The resistor was long gone and replaced by a very poor trace repair smothered in hot glue, which consisted of large globs of solder. No water damage or any other deep fried points.

Console booted( fan speed on boot seems too fast), 20+ cycle before Xell appeared-- Got CPU Key
Dumped Nand - 3 bad blocks
Got KV
Built New DB - No bad blocks

Changed the settings to:
DIPs - 3 - 7 ON
470 - Middle switch
Aud_clamp

Console Instant Boots (Fan speed issue remains)
Start playing Skyrim from HDD
5 minutes in the console fan is running at 100% and ERAM is way too hot for normal gameplay....Fatal Crash Intercepted kept repeating. Game Froze.
Shut down to cool
Tried again with GTA V. Fatal Crash Intercepted again

Did some research and saw this seems to be common problem with hardly any answers beside messing with SMC_config or applying new thermal compound. GPU isn't the problem in my case, wasn't out of operating temps.

Edited the SMC-Config to all the recommended setting - No Difference

Turned my attention to the piss poor trace repair, not quite reading 33 ohms.

Flipped the board over, soldered a wire to C4N27 and then to the far end of the broken trace on R4B24 and it worked perfectly.
Fan has stabilized, No more Fatal Crash Intercepted, and I get WTF! on the pro rater.
Playing GTA V all day without a hitch.

Maybe this will save ppl some unnecessary work on the GPU, Check your temps 1st before pulling off the heatsink thinking you need to replace thermal compound.

[Trinity] Not booting retail neither glitch on CR4

Hi,

I have a problem with a Trinity console that I tried to glitch with CR4. Could you please help me with some hints?
Initially I installed with Demon, reading Nand and trying to glitch it, without success. Now the console is not booting retail. I removed the Demon and also CR4 and I re-soldered all the pins for CR4 and using J-R Programmer V2 instead on Demon. I loaded the saved Nand and written back as retail but console is not booting.. ROL on red after 5 seconds. I tried to glitch it once again, without success.
Logs looking like this:

J4C1(Standby Header, Xbox): Where do I go from here?

$

Hello everyone.

My friend recently handed his Xbox Slim over to me because it wasn't powering on, yet it was making the dinging noise when you pressed either the eject or power button. Before I start going into detail, I just want to say I am no longer troubleshooting with the basics. Yes, I have tried a different power supply and tried powering the console on with a controller.

Anyways, I was probing the standby headers of the console with a multimeter and everything checked out except for one of them, which in this case was J4C1. Its voltage reading was 0.01, which is very low. I have read that it may be a MOSFET that is blown, but I just need some clearance before I try anything.

Thanks for all of the help!

Also, the console is a 2013 4GB Slim if anyone was wondering.

DRIVERS JR-Programmer v2 - Glitch

Hi Interwebs people!

So.... I have a problem. For about 2 hours I have been playing around with an RRODed Xbox I have sitting around. A couple MB tracers are broken, and it heats up fast. I did an at-home reball/reflow which got rid of the E74 error I was getting first, but now it is getting the RROD. Anyways, what I am trying to do is get Xell written onto the Nand and then run a quick CPU Key grab with my CR4 XL. I have don't a little bit of research and apparently others have done this as well so it should work but...
After soldering the points for my JR-Programmer, I plugged in the JR-Programmer into my USB port it doesn't respond in J-Runner. A couple months I RGHed a Trinity with the same process (The RRODed Xbox is a Falcon BTW) and I had the same problem. To fix it I uninstalled and deleted the old PTL... USB driver and DLL files. Then I re-installed the JR-Programmer drivers in Device Manager with the Microsoft Driver Signature Verification off. I have spent the last hour and a half doing that, over and over again. I am not to the point where I think the actually flash memory of the JR-Programmer is shot... Anyways, if anyone has some knowledge that could help me fix this it would be highly appreciated.

A5u5Ra23rH3r0.

TRINITY [CR4]Trinity CR4 will not glitch

$
0
0
I have a trinity I was successfully able to glitch last week. Boot times varied in between instant-1 min.

Now today it doesn't want to move a muscle. I am going to show you pictures, ask basic stupid questions to rule stupidity out, and then explain myself how I think I went wrong, and then let you guys decide hopefully.

First thing. Why I think it might not work:

I picked up the ethernet cord going into the console, the otherside shocked me, did I fry anything? Maybe the CR4?

What I did to test: Re-flashed stock nand...success! Console boots and console is banned :( (from last week lol)

So I re-created the Xebuild (didn't bother flashing ecc because I had CPU key) and it won't glitch. I tried flashing just ecc, still no glitch.

Left Xbox on overnight, woke up...still not glitch, just sitting there flashing green every 3 seconds.

My questions:

CPU_RST does not need to be soldered in my situation, right?
In Xebuild, I select Trinity, RGH2, and the CR4 option, right?
Recommended CR4 dip settings, resistance, Ohm jumper?

Thanks for reading and hope for quick assistance.

Pictures:

Notes: white wire goes from underboard CPU_RST to nothing, and the soldering seen below is not my best, just fast work, and blue wire is indeed connected, I assure you, I know it is hard to see, but it is in the right place.

FS3 problem...

Hi, Just a little problem.
I got FS3 installed boots fine.
Boots games fine.
Once I'm in a game and I hit the big "X" then "Y" to go back to FS3 but it just sits at a black screen.
I have to turn it off and back on again to get back into FS3.
Games are on a HDD.
FS3 & Dash Launch are on the internal memory.
Not entirely sure if that matters.

Thanks for your time,
Kyle.

Swaping R-JTAG with CR4

Do backups degrade?

$
0
0
I think my DVD drive is shot but just to make sure...
Do backups degrade over the course of a few weeks? Back in January, I managed to get my 360 working with my backups, played just fine for all of winter break. Went back to school for a couple weeks and now I'm home on spring break. The console won't read the disc (gives me that "disc could not be read" message that advises cleaning the disc or restarting the console), which is odd since the only thing that happened to the console in the interim was it was put in a cabinet. The disc surface is pristine, no scratches, no fingerprints, nothing, and the dye layer looks to be consistent, with no dark spots or streaks. As far as I can tell, this backup should still play.

I played with the trim pot levels a bit; turning the laser pot out to 3.6 k renders the drive completely unable to even read the disc, it thinks there's nothing in there. Turning the pot down seems to help, but I dropped it down to 2.7 k and it's still not reading (the screen fades to black, stays black for a few seconds and then the error message comes up). This console was plagued with read errors even before I flashed it, I was also having issues with textures popping in and whatnot when the game actually worked (this was an OEM disc that lived in the console, which was never dropped or disturbed while running). THAT disc eventually developed a hairline crack due to manufacturing error, which led to me flashing the console when I was refused a refund, but anyway... Am I right in assuming that I probably need a new laser diode or something else in the drive has gone wrong?
